Just as I correctly predicted that Biden would not be renominated in 2024, I now predict that President Trump will not serve out his current term. Due to his age and declining mental acuity, he will resign and allow JD Vance to run as an incumbent in 2028. Marco Rubio may decide to remain an outstanding Secretary of State and allow Vance to pick a (qualified) female/minority candidate as a running mate.

P.S. I can't see how Ron DeSantis would fit into this picture. Can you?

Trump will finish his second term. There’s no physical or mental cognative decline. Liberals can’t wish that to be true.

IDK. The republican primary process will be in play and while Vance will have a definite incumbent advantage, it doesn't always work to their advantage--Hubert Humphrey. I think the front runners will include Rubio and Cruz and possibly DeSantis. It will be interesting--any one of the four is preferable to ANYONE the democrats have in the wings.

It's one thing to be an incumbent....but another to try for the top spot the first time without a clear agenda. It had zero effect for Kamala....she had zero for a platform. People were demanding one and she had nothing. Eventually she coughed up a recycled Biden agenda and of course that failed....despite her spending insane amounts on her candidacy.

Reagan had a very clear agenda on several issues and communicated them quite effectively. Fritz wanted to raise taxes more during a recession Carter brought in.

Bush Sr. Had an agenda....it wasn't much of one but considering how Democrats just wanted to raise everyone's taxes(again and more)...it was enough to get Bush elected. The recession and banking scandal did him in....plus he voted for a single luxury tax increase stuffed inside of an omnibus bill. He regretted it.

Bill Clinton had another thin agenda....but it was enough to get him elected with the energy he exuded. The super heated economy and tech bubble were his doings.

Bush Jr. Had an agenda of bringing integrity back to the White House.....and that worked. (Cheney wanted nothing to do with the top spot)

Obama talked so slow....but agIn generated excitement of being the first "Black" president....that was the agenda in a nutshell. The medical care was from his second term.

Trump had a clear agenda over Hillary's weak one in 2016.
But then didn't effectively communicate his agenda for a second term. So Biden ran on "Not being Trump" and it worked....

Trump (47) ran on an EXTREMELY CLEAR agenda that he published. Closing the border, setting straight the Federal Reserve, fixing some Hotspot internationally....deporting illegals...stopping the open and blatant sex trade of minors. Ending DEI initiatives....and many more.

so....at the moment JD Vance has the Top spot nod. He is good at communication. He is treading carefully to keep from embarrassing Trump who is not good at it. But the boy clearly has talents. What exactly he wants to do is a bit of a mystery at the moment. He's comfortable with tech giants like Palantir and the complicated messes that tech creates.

Gavin Newsom has to run on his California Govenor record....which is not positive with looney tunes fire control, exuberant waste, fraud and abuse of money.
If he doesn't have any agenda now....any agenda he claims now is a lie.
