AR, no matter who makes it is an AR right down to the barrel. You are nitpicking. And both of those that I listed said AR-15. The mass shootings we had in this state were all AR type (no matter whom makes it). And the AR holds to absolute shooting record well above any others (Nevada). We made some real changes here and broke the ARCult. If you go into any pawn broker, you will find about every level of AR that has been made. Now try and find a Model 70 or even a Mini14.

AR style versus AR-15 means that they have interchangeable parts usually. The big difference is, the Colt AR15 is no longer produced.

From the first shot fired, it took the police to respond to the Aurora Theater shooting in 90 seconds. In that time, about 60 rounds were fired inside the theater. 24 dead, and 142 wounded. And he fired 76 rounds, mostly from the AR but a .223 can kill or wound by passing through a person into the next. 90 seconds. And he was apprehended at his car reloading for another attack.

Not long after the law change in Colorado, a 17 year old was apprehended in Fruita Colorado just outside a Middle School. He had his Daddies AR with 4 mags of 30. He was a minor so it stayed in Juvenile court. The outcome was never reported from the court as all records are still sealed. But what's even sadder, the Cops had to return the AR to the Father at a later date.

It was 5 people killed and 48 others injured. Not even close to the Vegas or the Aurora shooting. And the Cops responded BEFORE impact. Now, imagine if a shooter had his bump stock, 30 round mags (3 of them) and he just fired into that same crowd. He could empty his AR (all 3 mags) in less than 10 seconds and kill at least 40 people and injure a couple of hundred or more.
