As stated earlier (you could have seen my position had you actually read anything); If you want to import 100 widgets on Monday and they are $5 a piece, you buy them. Paying $500. On Wednesday, your blob shits in his diaper and blames the county from where you bought the widgets and puts a 100% tariff in place. So on Friday when the boat arrives, you have to pay $500 more to get them through customs. You thought your outlay was $500. But it ends up being double that.

That shouldn’t happen--thats my position.

Now if your blob wants to put a tariff into place due to his pooping in his diaper, he can work with Congress to put the tariff into place at an agreed upon date in the future.
