Getting back to the OP... According to the empirical climate evidence of the geologic record this interglacial period still has at least another 2C of NATURAL warming to go before the next glacial period is triggered by a disruption to the thermohaline current which is what is keeping the north pole warm.

So it's not surprising that the planet is warming. Happens after every glacial period ends.

Even the planet itself stores heat for at times fairly long periods. Add that to the oceans and lakes and a good bit of the solar heat is out of our league trying to control that. A major flaw is he believes man somehow controls climate via controlling short term weather.

1. Control. Stalin assumed Control over All humans in the Soviets power areas by total control. So did Hitler. In fact this is the nature of dictatorships, such as happened in China and other countries. Supposedly this nation was lightly controlled and such controls were to help the public. They had no charity of Government. Why did Democrats latch onto climate to begin with.
More control. If they control climate, they exert more control over what you buy, where you live and what you eat. As humans wake in the morning what is their first thing to do? Eat food. So if Government controls that, they have a head start. They control where a Factory is. So they put up regulations dominating those Factories. They say to protect us. But the true mission is more control over humans.

What should Government be all about?
The Constitution is set up primarily to control Government. Laws apply to Government too. FDR understood his control was in Government. So he laid out thousands of laws using Congress as the authors. If we go back to 1850, life for citizens was less managed by the politicians. We actually have no idea, most of us anyway, that we are controlled by so many laws. Go fishing if you need proof.

Gore can be called the father of Climate in the USA. HE realized that gives the Feds the most powerful tool they can use. This is why Democrats praise this and realize in the heart of the matter they will control your entire life. It is magic to them.

The essence of difference in Democrats is they crave control. We Republicans would be fine to live as General Washington and his citizens did in their days.

Why do Democrats hate Trump. Trump really tries to remove Control from Democrats and restore the kind of Control Our earlier presidents had.

If you notice, we have a cadre of posters who understand this, such as Fyrefox and even more in PoliticalChick. She really has a full understanding of all posters.

What about curing problems such as getting Congress in power to get more power? Republicans are trying JC, very hard. Blocking them are Democrats. I put the blame on Democrats. This is far more common than most citizens realize. Take corporations, they have the same dilemma. In organizations some of us figured out, about 40 percent genuinely care for we humans and the others devote themselves to ruling over us. I got out of Democrats when I understood that.
