Certainly not The Onion but yes, I think that some HuffPo and KOS articles add to the discussion. Not all of them, of course.

Because some articles from there do offer a different perspective on things or talk about something you wouldn't see elsewhere. Whether it's taken seriously or not is up to the readers. However, some can add to the discussion.

Also, HuffPo is much more comparable to Drudge than it is to Kos or Newsmax.

Look, I do not care what poll you think is biased or not and it does not matter. It is obvious that the dems are getting killed in this next election. Don’t kid yourself though, even a killing will not help the republicans in any way other than to ensure the ability to filibuster. The dems WILL hold the majorities in both houses. The dems will be defeated for the same reason the republicans were last term, they are getting pissed at their own party. Healthcare has gone nowhere, gitmo is still open and jobs still are nowhere to be found. Bush is still free and there has been very little transparency or striking down of Bush’s policies. Basically, the platform Obama ran on has not come to pass and will not come to pass before the elections and the dems base is not happy about it. Meanwhile, republicans are becoming more unified. The outcome may be good for the republicans it is a far cry from having any kind of majority anywhere.

The Dems will be unable to hold their 60% majorities. Those numbers came about due to a number of factors to include anti-Bush sentiment, the Obama phenomena, young voters and blacks swarming to the polls.......none of these will be a factor in 2010
The Republicans will pick up seats in both houses but not enough to break the Democratic majorities. The only "X" factor would be if the teabaggers choose to run third party candidates. Then the Republicans will take a serious beating

God lets hope so. This is by far the most partisan,corrupt,and incompetent U.S. Congress in our History. It just can't get any worse than this Congress. If some true Conservative Republicans win in 2010,maybe we can put an end to this miserable Socialist Malaise. We'll see i guess.

They will lose a lot of seats. Not sure about the actual majority though - that would be quite remarkable and a hard reversal of the electoral trend for the last few years.

People forget that in 1994 midterm that the Clinton election was far from a mandate - there were three national candidates and he managed to benefit from the split conservative vote.

For a similar midterm to take place in 2010 would represent a far greater shift in public sentiment than even 1994...

I know its a tough sell but the American People are angry and anything can happen. They had no problem throwing the Reps out and I think thats whats going to happen for the Dems as well. Will have to wait and see.
