There are like 25-30 seats that are even considered vulnerable at this point. The Rs lose both houses likely but they aren’t losing anywhere near 100 seats.

The Republicans will lose the house and likely the Senate unless something wildly changes between now and election day. That said it won't be 100 seats in the house or anything even approaching that number. If they lose 30 seats in the house I will be surprised. There just aren't that many vulnerable seats in either chamber for either side of the aisle anymore. They have done a wonderful job of jerrymandering their districts to ensure that.

I follow the Cook Political report closely and they watch the races closely. Out of the toss up races in the House, Republicans have to win 12/17 in order to retain control. They currently have 13/17 of those seats. So, nothing you'd want to bet on either way which, by itself, is bad for the blue team in not having a blue wave. As far as the Senate goes, there are 4 seats up for grabs and even if Democrats win all four, Republicans will have 51 seats plus the VP. So, don't count your chickens before they're hatched.

Their political model is wrong, because they aren't basing the model on Trump's current insanity and how he is completely wrecking the country.
