I am assuming an HSA or an FSA, as I believe that Trump will not issue checks directly to individuals. Regardless, tax funds are being utilized. Trump will assert that it reduces expenses. It does, to some extent. You receive inferior insurance "on your own" at a marginally reduced rate, and you are left in a difficult position when the insurance provider you "thought" you could rely on informs you that your claim is "denied."
