2 100 year old buildings are on the chopping block in Chicago to build a buffer zone for the Dirksen Federal Courthouse.
The logic behind the proposal is that these buildings are too close, and bureaucrats and others in the federal office building are in danger.
I can understand Sen. Durban's concern, but wouldn't it make more sense just to move the federal courthouse to a safe, rural area 30 or 40 miles outside of the Hellhole of Chicago, especially since the interest is supposed to be safety?
A new compound in a rural region could provide a tremendous parking lot and low crime situation for everyone concerned. The current building could be sold to the Latin Kings, Cripz or other group looking for a clubhouse and crack distribution system in the center city.
