I always thought she would be the matriarch of the family... but I'm not so sure anymore... I guess we'll find out tonight!

Im not sure about Elsa. I can see it going either way. By the way, I love Yellowstone, but 1883 is even better. Its the best show on tv right now and the best western tv series of all time.

I didnt even know who they were until like the 2nd or 3rd episode. Tim McGraw is sooo fucking good as that character.

The premise of the series is the Dutton family of Montana. In 1883, the Duttons are on their way to Oregon. Obviously, they don't make it to Oregon. Dutton tells his wife that wherever Elsa dies is where they will stop and make their home. Elsa will die in Montana.

Good show. Most of the period TV or Movies dealing with immigration was always East Coast stuff Italians Irish etc. Germans did pour into Texas and then westward. Many just stayed right there in Texas also.

I think they will start with the new prequel 1932, but who knows? If you have paramount you can watch E 10 of 1883 now.

There is another prequel to this, called 1483 that shows that the Dutton family hired Leonardo Da Vinci to paint Elsa so she would be immortalized if anything ever happed to her in 1883.

While I'm enjoying the show it can be a little slow.
As with Yellowstone I really like the landscape shots.
I gotta think she'll survive that arrow to the gut,if she doesnt where does the show go from here?
She's pretty much the main character....oh,and she's smoken HOT!!!! Although she does have a tendency to hook up with any swinging dick that smiles at her.

We have a huge population of Germans in Texas.
