The 1,500,000 defensive gun uses number is not my claim....it is the claim by an actual Study conducted by the Department of Justice on the orders of bill clinton to debunk the defensive gun use study by Dr. Gary Kleck....another actual study.....
The 100,000 number you cite, twit, is from the National Crime Victimization Study....which is not a defensive gun use study...in fact, it does not ask any questions about defensive gun use, and doesn't have the word gun in it...which is why it is the only study with results so low.....
Here are all the actual studies that researched defensive gun use in the United STates.....I know you are a slow learner...but sound out the words, and use your fingers and toes to understand the numbers....
I have highlighted the Department of Justice Study where the 1,500,000 number comes from...as you can see, it isnt the only study that finds the numbers that high....twit.
I just averaged the studies......which were conducted by different researchers, from both private and public researchers, over a period of 40 years looking specifically at guns and self defense....the name of the researcher is first, then the year then the number of times they determined guns were used for self defense......notice how many of them there are and how many of them were done by gun grabbers like the clinton Justice Dept. and the obama CDC

If you take the studies from that Kleck cites in his paper, 16 of them....and you only average the ones that exclude military and police shootings..the average becomes 2 million...I use those studies because I have the details on them...and they are still 10 studies (including Kleck's)...
