UPDATE: Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes says he will rush to SCOTUS.
"In response to the United States Court of Appeal for the Tenth Circuit denial of stay in Evans v. Utah, the state is prepared to file an Application for Stay before the United States Supreme Court in the coming days to avoid uncertainty," according to a statement from the attorney generalÂ’s office. "The State recognizes that pending cases regarding same-sex marriage in Utah impact the lives of many individuals and families and is diligently seeking uniform certainty through proper and orderly legal processes until Kitchen v. Herbert is resolved."
The US Supreme Court will likely grant this stay as the AG has standing and the moral compunctions of millions of Utahans hang in the balance to protect children from this:

Once married legally, they have access in Utah to adoptable orphans. If they are "proud" of doing those things where they anticipate children will be in open public settings, just imagine what Utahans fear for their orphans when forced to adopt them to these people who then take them home behind closed doors?
