Koch It Up

"WASHINGTON - March 11 - Over two weeks after One Wisconsin Now filed an open records request for all email and written communications between Koch Industries’ lead Wisconsin lobbyist and the office of Gov. Scott Walker and the Department of Administration, the Walker administration has yet to fulfill the request.

"One Wisconsin Now said it is considering legal action and notes the unusual speed at which Gov. Walker’s office released staff email communications this week it claimed were proof of the administration’s willingness to negotiate with Senate Democrats in the budget repair bill dispute."

Scott Walker is another corporate tool looking to socialize cost while privatizing profit for Wall Street parasites.

trotsky you are delightfully innocent, i do admire your zeal.

usually here in the US we show cause before engaging in what is simply a fishing expedition......cheney was free to talk to oil guys, obama is free to talk with trumka and scott if so inclined is free to talk with whomsoever he pleases.

I don't care what they are talking about in any case.

Feel free to just trample someone rights to privacy minus cause any time you like, I am surprised at you George.....

If it was state email Walker was using then the people are entitled to see them, in my opinion. If it was his personal email, then that's different.

How about they produce all emails and transcripts of meetings between Obama and Dick Trumpka as well.

In the same way Walker is free to trample state workers' legal right to bargain for benefits?

When any politician accepts thousands of dollars in campaign donations, why shouldn't his/her emails with those generous contributors be subject to public inspection?

read my post again George.
Read Martin Niemoller again, Trajan.

"'First they came for the communists,' he wrote, 'and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.'"

21st Century Update on Niemoller's Poem:

"First they declared corporations were 'people,' and I didn't complain because I'm already a person.

"Then they made unlimited money 'speech,' and I didn't complain because the American Dream says I'll be rich someday, too.

"Then they commandeered the means of production by shipping our greatest strength - manufacturing - overseas, because they don't have bothersome unions over there, and I didn't complain because WalMart has cheap stuff.

"Then they bought Congress so they could write the laws, and I didn't complain because I can’t be bothered to vote.

"Then they bought the Supreme Court so they could cement their rule, and I didn't complain because I don't have time to pay attention..."

Then They Came...

They have no "right" to collective bargaining. It is not in the state constitution. It was a "priviledge" that was granted to them by the state legislature and it has now been rescinded by that same body.

I didn't here them shouting how unfair it was when it was granted. Anytime a "priviledge" is abused you can look for it to for it to be lost. That is the same way our parents treated us and the way we treated our children. This little "temper tantrum" being thrown by the labor unions and the democrats isn'y going anywhere.

How come nobody in the media talks about how these are almost all white crowds?
Is anyone in the corporate media talking about Goldman Sachs?

"Harold Schaitberger, president of the International Association of Firefighters, has an additional thought on why (Governor) Walker might be creating a false pension crisis:

"What is this all about? This is all about the money," Schaitberger says. 'What this is really about is for Wall Street to be able to get their hands on the $2.7 trillion that are in institutionally managed [pension] plans.'

"If public employee pensions are converted from defined benefit plans to defined contribution plans such as 401Ks, 'they know it's the next cash cow for Wall Street," he says. 'Individuals will be charged higher fees, they'll be churning their investments and won't really have the ability to measure performance and objectives by those who will now be allegedly helping them prepare for retirement...'"

"And what role did Wall Street play in Wisconsin's projected budget crisis (not as much in the pension fund, which is doing just fine now)?

"According to at least one Wall Street analyst, Goldman Sachs was, in essence, betting that Wisconsin's debt would be increasing, 'selling short' -- and thus Goldman Sachs would make money on the taxpayers having to pay more to compensate for a budget shortfall."

There is No Pension Crisis...

That might make a great new thread. This one is about the crowds who were rented today and turned out in Madison. Mostly white crowds, like the Tea parties. Is the union racist? Doesn't let too many blacks in, like NPR for example?

The biggest mass rallies for labor unions in the US since the 1930s have taken place in Wisconsin during the last month.

How's Wall Street doing?

Big whoop.

How many of that number will be bussed in from MN and IL or are maggot infested, patchouli oil-soaked college stoners?

Most of them are imported, just as they have been all along.
And most of the Madison students are imported too. LOL

I now figured out how they 'reached' 100k protesters!

They INTENDED to have 100k protesters so therefore, there WERE 100k protesters.

Remember, intentions count so 1000 + 2000 = 100k-ish

Unions have always been able to rent mobs. Aren't you curious one little bit, why this one was almost a "whites only" deal?

Jessie Jackson was there and I saw him on the tube telling about what a bunch of hobos the Senators were for passing the bill into law. It surprised me cause there really isn't a lot of black folk involved in this ruckus. But then again, it didn't surprise me. Jessie uses every opportunity to get his mug on the tv news. He has lots of time to do that because best I can tell, he's never worked a day in his life at a real job. That being the case, how does he know what he's talking about is so unfair?

Welcoming the Fleebaggers home.

Union is promising more than 100,000 to attend.

Should be interesting.

Not that the Liberal Media is mentioning it. But it seems they had no where near 100,000 Show up. The largest crowds I saw could not have been more than 5000 People.

The rest probably knew the coverage would be bumped by the devastation in Japan.

Them liberal protesters must come cheap then. You sure they're even US citizens?
