I think that in the process of intermixing, the ethnic divisions will be smoothing. Not that there won't be ethnic anclaves, of course they will, but hardly they will play a determinant role in the US politics.the process of divide in the US is still going on and there are may factors, including lgbt agenda which may push many Catholic Hispanic voters to conservatism, but as economic crises deepens incline of Hispanic voters to socialism will prevail over their incline to conservative family values.
Hispanic voters will either privatize Democratic party in next generation of politicians, very soon, after recent herontocratic elite steps down, or will establish own party.
If the US survives another presidential cycle, which I doubt very much.
I tend to think that recent or next US president will be the last one of the US in present boundaries.
And of course the US in the present form will survive the next presidential cycle, and that after this one, and another one and on and on.
