But.....they never had ANY control over that Quarter, it was conquered and controlled by the Jordanians for 19 years until they got even greedier and decided in 1967 to join Egypt and Syria in attacking Israel for more land.

The Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem is NOT Palestinian. And neither is any part of Judea and Samaria (also conquered by Jordan and not any Arab "Palestinian" in 1948 ).

The Old City of Jerusalem consists of 4 Quarters--Jewish, Muslim, Christian and Armenian. The Old, walled City is a small part of Eastern Jerusalem (many ppl think that East Jerusalem consists of the Old City and that's it). Most of East Jerusalem, outside of the Old City, is Arab. Most of West Jerusalem is Jewish.

Seems to me the idea that East Jerusalem is the capital of the future Palestinian State is no more "neutral" than to declare West Jerusalem as the capital of the existing Israeli State.

So why would you consider the declaration of one "destroying the peace" while the declaration of the other is "neutral"?

Have you ever thought the jews got it all wrong. They never really had that land, for years it was part of Egypt, then Greece and then Rome. Whoever you are, you are there for one and one reason only , the British gave part of it to you, but like you do in every country, you think you own it all. The jewish Canaanite diaspora began in 500 bc.

The Greeks and Romans were occupiers. The Arabs now calling themselves "Palestinians" are just the latest manifestation in a long line of occupiers.
