Thanks, pbel. I like George Washington Carver, too. He did so much in plant science, he gave the human world a boost, even though his early life was fraught with disappointments and a certain amount of hardship. He worked his way to a better life, and he worked hard on the good decisions he made to better life through selective and intuitive plant improvements, with zero knowledge of DNA, just a heart for getting the best return from an acre of land. Just look what one man did who had to sit in the back of a bus because his skin was allegedly the wrong color. He overcame all that and inspired a nation to appreciate the gold that is in the hearts and minds of men of all races. His story still wins hearts to believing in the good and the equality of mankind.
