The GF and I took my cats up an 11,000 peak last night. No big deal. It was maybe a mile and a half walk round trip. The cats walked the whole way and we made it to the summit at 7pm. It was their first summit! I was so proud. I'll post pics soon.
I wonder why I haven't heard of this accident yet? Micah Dash went to the same schools I did Colorado Mountain College in Leadville and CU Boulder (only he got a BA in History and I got a BA in English and Cultural Anthropology at CU Boulder). If he lived in Leadville (pop. 2500) I probably know someone who knew him. I read about one of Micah's ascents in the Trango Towers area of Pakistan a few years ago. I knew then that he was setting the standard for the next generation of climbers. Its a damn shame and all part of being a climber, especially at his level.
