Yup, It's A Shithole

Yeap, Diblasio last year eased laws about pissing in public in NY.

New Yorkers should prepare for a loud, smelly summer.

As of Tuesday, scofflaws who commit certain quality-of-life violations — including urinating, boozing or blasting loud music in public — will get little more than a slap on the wrist.

The change is the result of the City Council’s controversial Criminal Justice Reform Act, which allows law breakers who’ve been cited for those and other low-level offenses to face justice in administrative hearings rather than in criminal court.

Critics charge that the shift will undermine the “broken windows” theory of policing that began in the city in the 1990s. The theory maintains that cracking down on minor offenses prevents more serious crimes.

“It’s bulls–t!” fumed one high-ranking police source. “They shouldn’t be doing that. It’s just going to make crime go up again.”

Advocates claim the new procedure will divert 100,000 cases a year from the criminal justice system and prevent minor offenders from acquiring criminal records.

Trust me. The left deliberately want it exactly like this. They want run down dilapidated cities. It is one of their clear goals.

Should we take a look at the cities run by democrats over the last 50+ years? Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia?

Is it too obvious to suggest that someone in the SF government identify a sanitary and aesthetically pleasing design for a portable toilet, and buy a couple hundred of them to be strategically placed in the "Streets of San Francisco"? I realize there would be a financial cost and some merchants would be upset, but isn't this public health threat sufficient to spend the money?

This is what California did with drugs offenders. And oh my God is the place spiraling out of control. Each indigent addict that has $100/day habit means $3,000/month or $36,000 a year that they have to steal in order to hawk so they don't become dope sick each day. Each one. Do the math on the impact this monstrosity of laxness is doing to the State and it's regular hard working law abiding citizens. You'd think insurance companies would step in at some point. You know they're crunching the numbers on it.

More and more people turn to addiction to numb pain in a State that has no disincentives to do so. And crime has taken an exponential upturn as a direct result. No solutions either in the near future. Flash mobs are forming. They use social media too coordinate, post lookouts as others steal. So they are fully aware of what they're doing and even how to coordinate it...* Even when the addicts get arrested for more serious crime in the process of stealing or being violent etc. the courts downgrade everything or drop it if drugs are involved. Scenario: addict knocks an old lady down in a struggle over her purse, she gets a brain injury. Court downgrades felony assault with grave bodily injury to "drug offense" (* because the addict was out of their mind don't you know). The addict walks. The lady is permanently disabled. On and on.

This is how stuff is happening in CA. Coddling of wily and manipulating addicts. If you want to rob a bank in CA don't do it sober. Be on heroin or meth. Then they'll say you couldn't control yourself and downgrade the crime to "drug offense" and let you walk. This isn't hyperbole. This is the straight up truth of the situation.
