Today is Israel's Memorial Day when Israel mourns the 23,000 soldiers who died in the wars, and victims of terror. Most of the soldiers were only 18, 19 or 20. I personally had an 19-year-old cousin who died in a friendly-fire incident. 23,000--practically a genocide! May we all observe a moment of silence.

The memorial day was indeed yesterday. We shared the grief and gratitute to all those who sketched with their blood our way to freedom, and in this day- our independence.

Let us pray for the full recovery of Shahar ben Ayelet, who, while disarming exsplosive materials near Jerusalem, which were meant to kill as many innocent people as possible, took on a full blast on his body and is now foghting for his life.
