Our hero is a 58 year old former Mountie Kevin Vickers who shot and killed the terrorist who was hell bent for leather to kill as many of my senior elected officials as possible. It was the first time he had ever had to use his weapon in a 30 year career. He did not hesitate and he saved many lives.
Emotional sergeant-at-arms is greeted back to parliament with a rousing standing ovation a day after he heroically shot dead terrorist - the first time he used weapon in 30 year career

Job done: Kevin Vickers, Canada's House of Commons' sergeant-at-arms, looks around the hallways with a gun in his hand after shooting dead an attacker, Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, on Wednesday morning
Thankful: After he assumes his position at the end of the chamber, the minutes-long applause continues
Thankful: Prime Minister Harper thanked Vickers for shooting the suspect during Wednesday's incident and ending the terror.
Bless his soul. Rest of story, more pictures and video at link.
