it's like when you're a kid and people tell you don't put your hand in the fire, it will burn. well if they trusted for so long sooner or later someone is gonna come along and try it again vs. listen to experience.A couple of decades ago Socialism was all the rage throughout many parts of Europe.I think the term is perceived to be a bit closer to Europe than to Venezuela."Hey, it's worked so well in Venezuela, why not try it here?"It appears, though, that the trend is in their favor:

This all exists on a continuum. For example, we already have elements of socialism here. That doesn't make us socialist.

Now the voters in those countries have watched their country implode and they are rejecting Socialism.
like i said - we're not doing the next generations any favors with our collective stupidity, but socialism isn't the way to go as a complete solution.
