Yeah...left wingers are finally starting to realize that the government shouldn't have all the guns.

Yep......we can thank Trump for something else, teaching left wing nuts the value of the 2nd Amendment.....something they had no clue about until he came along......they are late to the party, but more than welcome to join in......

Leftists Discover the Importance of Opposing Gun Control Laws Like the Bump Fire Stock Ban - The Truth About Guns

Why, it’s almost as if America’s Founding Fathers intended the right to keep and bear arms as a bulwark against government tyranny or something. We’re sure we’ve heard that argument somewhere before.

Not all anti-gun control arguments are this fanatical, but many stem from a fundamental mistrust of the US government. Alex Turner, a 24-year-old retail manager from Kentucky, believes that we can’t trust Trump to not tweet out a declaration of war or the Democratic Party to hold a fair primary, so why should we trust the government to regulate firearms? (Of the anti-gun control leftists I corresponded with, most of them were men who voted for Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary and either sat out the general election or begrudgingly voted for Hillary Clinton.)

BLM activists believe the police are murderous racists, yet these activists want to disarm the people and give the police a monopoly on guns.

Crazy!

Culture of violence: Gun crime goes up by 89% in a decade | Daily Mail Online

The latest Government figures show that the total number of firearm offences in England and Wales has increased from 5,209 in 1998/99 to 9,865 last year - a rise of 89 per cent.

The number of people injured or killed by guns, excluding air weapons, has increased from 864 in 1998/99 to a provisional figure of 1,760 in 2008/09, an increase of 104 per cent .

Crime rise is biggest in a decade, ONS figures show

Ministers will also be concerned that the country is becoming increasingly violent in nature, with gun crime rising 23% to 6,375 offences, largely driven by an increase in the use of handguns.

Gun crime in London increases by 42% - BBC News

Gun crime offences in London surged by 42% in the last year, according to official statistics.

Top trauma surgeon reveals shocking extent of London’s gun crime

A leading trauma surgeon has told how the number of patients treated for gunshot injuries at a major London hospital has doubled in the last five years.

----

He said the hospital’s major trauma centre had seen a bigger rise in gunshot injuries compared to knife wounds and that the average age of victims was getting younger.

-----

Last year, gun crime offences in London increased for a third year running and by 42 per cent, from 1,793 offences in 2015/16 to 2,544 offences in 2016/17. Police have seized 635 guns off the streets so far this year.

Dr Griffiths, who also teaches medical students, said: “Our numbers of victims of gun injury have doubled [since 2012]. Gunshot injuries represent about 2.5 per cent of our penetrating trauma.

-----

Dr Griffiths said the average age of gun crime victims needing treatment at the hospital had decreased from 25 to the mid to late teens since 2012.

He added that medics at the Barts Health hospital’s major trauma centre in Whitechapel had seen a bigger rise in patients with gun injuries rather than knife wounds and that most were caused by pistols or shotguns.

Met Police commander Jim Stokley, who was also invited to speak at the meeting, said that handguns and shotguns were the weapons of choice and that 46 per cent of London’s gun crime discharges were gang-related.

He said: “We believe that a lot of it is associated with the drugs trade, and by that I mean people dealing drugs at street level and disagreements between different gangs.”

It's time for bump stocks to be "well regulated."

You can do the same thing with any semi auto using your thumb and a belt loop or pocket. Going to want to ban pants next?
No, just require that to have a semi-auto off of your property, you have the same license as is required for a machine gun. If you do not, mandatory five years in the federal pen, all your guns confiscated and destroyed, and you are never allowed have a gun on your person again.

They are....
No they aren't. Which is why a bump stock was used to massacre dozens of innocents on Trump's watch. And you still defend it. Should bump stocks be made illegal? Here's your chance to veer from Obama policy. Well, should it?

So why didn't the Hussein ban bump stocks, or implement any other restrictions on his watch? He had a super majority of Congress. This is all on Obama, is it not?

Since one can fire the semi-auto's the same as a machine gun without 'bump' stocks, why not require the same license as is required for machine guns if you have one off your own property.

Moron...he had the money, he could have bought an actual, fully automatic rifle......I heard and FBI profiler say that this guy was the first mass shooter with unlimited funds......he could have brought in an M60 machine gun if he wanted.......

I don't care about bump fire stocks......you can ban those....but you can't ban any rifles, any magazines, we want silencers and national concealed carry reciprocity.......that is where I stand.

Because rifles that are in common use are protected by the 2nd Amendment. And any license would be a poll tax on exercising the Right to self defense........just like you guys did when you kept blacks from voting with the poll tax.

There are more than 16 million rifles that fire semi auto.....2 were used in Vegas....we are not surrendering any more of our Rights to irrational extremists like you.

Yeah...it is always funny that you want to punish people who didn't use any gun to commit a crime and you want to not only throw them in prison, you want to take away their Right to self defense...over paperwork. When it comes to actual violent gun criminals...the ones who cannot legally buy, own or carry a gun and who have actually used a gun for crime.....they can get out in less than 3 years......

This is why we don't trust you....paperwork violations are an excuse you want to strip the 2nd Amendment from law abiding people....

You now you can't stop actual criminals...they will always get a gun no matter how often they go to jail....but you hate law abiding gun owners because they don't commit crimes. Because they don't commit crimes, you can't touch their guns. So, how do you get their guns? You create paperwork traps for them....that way they are always in legal jeopardy and always at risk of being tripped up for an honest mistake on paperwork...then you can fucking hammer them.......and more importantly, you can take their guns, and their gun Rights forever.

We know who you are, we know what you want...and we will fight you every step of the way....moron.

Because those rifles are self defense rifles, there are 16 million of them and they are rarely used in crime...in fact....they are used to murder fewer people in this country than knives, clubs, and empty hands........even fewer than the total for all rifles......we need to ban knives, clubs and empty hands before we even think about rifles.......and rental trucks......

Expanded Homicide Data Table 4

Rental Truck...89, 2 rifles in vegas...58

Totals 2016:

Rifles....374

knives....1,604

blunt objects....472

bare hands....656
