Wyoming's proposed anti-LGBT law

Read what I wrote. I did NOT ask you why you think she SHOULD be fired. I pointed out that you changed your reasons why she should be fired.

At first you thought she should be fired because she would be in the locker room/showers and her orientation would make that unacceptable.
When you found out that that was not true and that she was only seen kissing her partner in a car, THAT became the reason you thought she should be fired.

Yes on the first reason and yes on the second. I do not believe that anyone "openly gay" (openly displaying deviant sex behaviors) should be an adult role model at a school. And there is no provision in the US Constitution protecting deviant sex addicts from that enforcement. That's what Hively v Ivy tech said, in essence.

George Fudgepacker Takei asks

“Imagine you had to use the restroom of the opposite sex everywhere. Might you not feel endangered, awkward, afraid even to go out publicly?”

I suppose the answer would be that it would make one feel about the same way girls and women would feel, knowing that mentally-deranged, morally-depraved male perverts are allowed to go into the women's restrooms, locker rooms, dressing rooms, communal showers, and so on.

But we're supposed to discard the comfort, safety, and modesty of girls and women, in order to pander to a tiny handful of sick perverts? Solid digestive waste such as this is why LIbErals are now losing.

From a friend in Wyoming:

The Wyoming State Legislature is considering a bill that, if passed, would become the most oppressive and wide-ranging anti-LGBT law in the nation. It would allow social workers to deny aid, teachers to not teach, health care workers to deny service not only to individuals that identify as LGBT, but their children as well. And that is just part of the bill... this bill tells our LGBT brothers and sisters that they are not worthy to receive services a straight cisgendered individual can receive.

HB-135 is scheduled to be voted upon by the Wyoming House Judiciary Committee this week, its first step toward becoming law. Please call and/or email members of this committee (contact info pasted below) and tell them to VOTE NO ON HB-135. No hate in the equality state!

Remember: Be firm but polite; introduce yourself and say where you're from; make your message personal.

That is not what the bill is about. It's about allowing people to follow their religion and not punishing them if they refuse to participate in gay weddings. That is the only thing that people object to. No one refuses to teach, give healthcare or otherwise serve people. The line was drawn when caterers would be forced to attend gay wedding receptions and such. It's the marriage that they object to, not people personally.

As always, you guys lie.

Here is the actual bill.

Some believe, wrongly, that those engaged in public service can deny services to people they don't like.

The bill "would allow social workers to deny aid, teachers to not teach, health care workers to deny service not only to individuals that identify as LGBT, but their children as well."

If passed, the bill will go to the courts, and we have seen the courts and some legislatures have resoundingly reaffirmed LGBT rights.

Close enough. In regard to the question of a 12-year-old girl not wanting to share a locker room with boys, Mr. Como tweeted:

i wonder if she is the problem or her overprotective and intolerant dad? teach tolerance. PP on Twitter

No matter how you try to spin that, you cannot get past the fact that he is denying that it is wrong to compel a 12-year-old girl to share locker rooms with naked boys, and trying to cast the blame for any perceived problem on “her overprotective and intolerant dad”.

Seriously, what the f••• is wrong with him, wrong with you, wrong with anyone who thinks that it is OK to force young girls to undress and shower with boys? What has happened to obvious basic decency, that you filthy left wrong wing subhuman scumbags think you can try to recast and condemn it as “intolerance” and not be seen by sane, decent people, for the sick filth that you are?

This is why your side lost so badly, this last election cycle, and this is why your side will continue to lose. Decent Americans are waking up to the madness and evil that LIbEral Democrats now represent.

No, it is not close at all. Decent Republicans, Democrats, and independents are beginning to realize what a train wreck of a Presidency is becoming. Our GOP in Congress is befuddled of what to do with immigration, health care, and security. The supposed new EO has not yet been released.

To listen to regressives like Bob above makes sensible people shake their heads. He has a right to believe what he wants, but he can't interfere with civil liberties of others.

Trump is not going to hear the end of this shit anytime soon:

The Obama Administration bathroom policies said that children in public schools should be able to use the bathroom that matches their gender identity, but the policies never took effect because they were tied up in court.

The Trump Administration decided the issue should be handled by state and local governments, but the Briggles now believe that's not enough.

"My son's rights are not up for debate. These are his civil rights that we're talking about, and those should be protected wherever he goes across this country," Briggle said. "He is just as much an American as any other 9-year-old boy."
Denton mom of transgender son takes on Trump administration

Eliza Byard, Executive Director of the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN) released a statement saying,

Supports for transgender students in K-12 schools change and save lives, and hurt no one. President Trump's reversal of federal guidance affirming Title IX protections in schools undermines the settled expectations and protections afforded by federal law, hurts transgender students and impedes the progress we have made creating safer and more inclusive learning environments for all.
Research has consistently shown that transgender students are more likely to face severe violence and discrimination at school than their peers, and at greatly increased risk of suicide and self-harm as a result. GLSEN's National School Climate Survey has shown that 76 percent of transgender students felt unsafe at school simply because of their gender. We also know that transgender students who are allowed simply to be themselves at school are as healthy and happy and successful as their peers. Rescinding guidance designed to help schools help them makes zero sense.

No one is defending the sexual abuse of young girls, Bob.

Compelling young schoolgirls to share locker rooms and showers with male perverts is to sexually abuse them, and that is what you are openly defending. There is no spin that can hide this. You are openly on the side of dangerous sexual perverts, and against that of the young girls on whom they would prey. One certainly has to wonder why you would side with these perverts, and identify therewith. Actually, no, no need to wonder; I think the answer is obvious enough, though the rules of this forum as I understand them, prohibit me from coming out and saying it.
Can you please list the instances where girls were attacked by a trans boy in school.....or anywhere.?

Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., isn’t afraid to break party ranks on issues of LGBT rights — especially when her family is involved.

Ros-Lehtinen, whose son Rodrigo is transgender, released a critical statement Wednesday after the Trump administration announced it was revoking federal guidelines that protect transgender students from sex discrimination.

She said she intends to reintroduce a bill she first submitted in 2015 with Rep. Jared Polis, D-Colo.: the Student Non-Discrimination Act (SNDA), which would prohibit schools from discriminating against students based on gender identity or sexual orientation.

“This lamentable decision can lead to hostile treatment of transgender students and studies have shown that bullying and harassment can be detrimental to the emotional and physical well-being of teenagers,” Ros-Lehtinen said in a statement Wednesday. “Evidence has shown that acceptance of transgender students lowers their risk of suicide. Jared and I introduced our SNDA bill to prevent discrimination of transgender young people and we will re-introduce it because our country benefits when everyone is accepted and we live up to our nation’s promise of inclusiveness.”

In America, why should I have to move from one state to another because of discrimination and bigotry and prejudice? That’s not okay. That’s not an American value.”

Certain religious groups in America have trouble understanding they cannot interfere with others' civil liberties.

Mormons, for instance, learned that the hard way in Missouri, Nauvoo Illinois, and the InterMountain West.

No one is forcing anyone to be LGBT or be transgendered.

I was astounded to see a post trying to paint the early Mormons in Missouri and Illinois as perpetrators of civil rights abuses, then I saw who it was that made that posting.
