And you don't know exactly how that odometer reads until you calibrate it against known distances. Your tyres may be slightly greater or lesser in diameter than assumed, the odometer itself will only be accurate to a certain specification. My odometer.
Thermometers are calibrated against a reference. Odometer readings are only useful for relative measurements unless its been calibrated.Thermometers are also calibrated before they are sold. However, we don't modify odometer readings after they are taken as the AGW cult does with temperature readings.
Amazing how many "top scientists" you can find when grant money is being handed out.The best MONEY CAN BUY!'We've got top scientists working on it right now!"
"Who?"
"Top ... scientists."
And then you have a small band of unpaid scientists who show the bought and paid for shills to be liars and science deniers for the liberal agenda..
Erm, Anthony Watt is not a scientist.
You're right, he allows Scientists a place to post represents a cool groupAmazing how many "top scientists" you can find when grant money is being handed out.The best MONEY CAN BUY!'We've got top scientists working on it right now!"

A legend in your own mind... posting discredited and false narratives as science is not posting proof. So far I'm the only one to have posted evidence. All the deniers can do is deny.
Well of course, that's what they do.
You have posted nothing but denials. That's okay, after all it's what deniers do.A legend in your own mind... posting discredited and false narratives as science is not posting proof.
Tires wear... causing a range of error
Thermometers expand over time... causing a range of error.

Again, science is not about proof, it is about evidence.
As measuring devices or conditions change the devices are calibrated against known references so that correct factors may be applied to the raw data returned in order to get a useful measurement.
Tyres?and huh?Too, as you drive your tyres will decrease in diameter and the odometer will need constant recalibration in order for its readings to be able to be usefully compared to the measurements of other odometers.

What are you talking about?Tyres?and huh?
Exactly what are you talking aboutWhat are you talking about?Tyres?and huh?
Nah,just wondering what the word Tyre was and what 1/8" tire loss Would mean,Oh. Deniers only being able to deny without producing evidence. I agree.

Exactly. This is covered in high school science class, and yet these people just can't get a handle on it. It's sady, really.
Oh. Tyre is the circular rubber thing vehicles roll on. 1/8" decrease in tread depth is equal to a 1/4" diameter decrease. In a 15" tyre that is equal to 1.7% over valued odometer reading.Nah,just wondering what the word Tyre was and what 1/8" tire loss Would mean,
And you still manage to avoid posting evidence of anything. Ok, admittedly you do manage to deny, but really, that's expected of deniers.I see the crap loving morons continue to pat each other on the back for crap responses and points devoid of basic science tenets...
