Women leaving Repub voting ranks in droves

Well, i hate to inform the libs, but not all women can be lumped together in some neat and tidy little box. Not all women are proabortion. But, i guess it fits their story line to think that.
you mean, like all women who use birth control and want it to continue to be covered by their insurance policies are sluts and prostitutes?

No they are buying a product with their own money that they need, unless you are saying consumers are sluts and prostitutes?

huh? sandra fluke pays her premiums just as the guy wanting viagra or a vasectomy yet she was labeled a prostitute....? There is nothing wrong with women that have insurance that they pay a premium for to want BC pills be part of their coverage and to call these women sluts and prostitutes is uncalled for, by anyone....let alone by near every republican

Can you show me a direct quote from 'nearly every Republican' in the House and Senate, where they call these women a slut or prostitute? Or, are you just taking the Rush quote and simply assuming every Republican said the same thing, like so many hyper partisan liberals do?

You are correct, that these women are not sluts nor prostitutes... but you are incorrect to state that 'nearly every Republican' has called them such.

There are so many ways I could go with your comment
Like if Fluke wants birth control covered in her healthcare plan find a healthcare provider that has it
or
The pill prevent pregnancy Viagra starts it
But I will go with this
So the government should step in and tell a religious group how they are to run their affairs?

I'm not hearing too many Republicans in the House and Senate condemning Rush.....you'd think they were afraid to cross him or something. :eusa_whistle:

Maybe they see him as a radio personality, and not a politician?
You lefties put way too much stock into Rush....the rest of us don't. :eusa_whistle:

IIf this were "the Church" and its employees that work for the diocese, I would agree with you....the gvt would need to make an exception for them, but THIS IS NOT the church but a nonprofit business, the Catholic charities, who got 50% of their money to run their hospitals and universities from the government, which serve the PUBLIC and employ the general public and not just parishioners.....

the Catholic church is not paying the premium for their employees to have birth control covered....

There is no war on women - fearmongering propaganda for idiots.

There IS a war on the Constitution.

I agree that there is no "war" on women. I do, however, feel that the GOP platform and the views of Santorum are not friendly to the 21st century woman. I read where 99% of Catholic women used some form of contraception. If you were to see my orders for contraceptive pills, devices, condoms, creams, foams, and even hormonal rings that end up in the heavily Hispanic (and thusly usually heavily Catholic) areas of town, you'd agree.

What I do not understand really is that science has proven that if you stop unwanted pregnancies now, you save money later on everything from education to food stamps to prison cells. These are proven facts. The way to stop unwanted pregnancies is to put contraception options out there. It's a fiscal issue that the GOP can get behind from that standpoint. Here's the thing: The voters are ALREADY there in using contraception. The candidates are the ones playing the sanctimonious asshole in this episode.

Which is why Obama wins.
I don't consider Obama's breaking the First Amendment a win under many circumstances, this one included.

In my book, without the First, all other freedoms we have fail.

In the book of history, those who gets the most votes wins. Obama will skunk Santorum if he is the nominee. He will "only" decisively beat Romney.

And the failed obama economy will go on and on and on.

What astounds me is how stupid the GOP candidate must be to open up this social policy can of worms when they have the economy to hammer Obama with.

But I guess misogynists like Rush and creepy Ricky just cannot help but be what they are.

If it turns out to be a close race and Obama wins?

It'll be thanks to the likes of Rush and Creepy Ricky that the Dems still control the oval office.

Great post. I am of the opinion that we vote for who we like by and large. Romeny has a likabiltiy problem to be sure. Santorum looks as though he's trying to firm up the base now and worry about indies later on so he's telling them what they want to hear. Rick...the calendar called; they said it's March; time to act like a Presidential candidate.

I have to say, if it wasn't for the whining from the left about Rush, I would have no idea what he says. Curious.

This election is NOT about contraception...

Which is why 0bama loses....

If you're telling 99% of the women that use Contraception that they are wrong for doing so...you're not going to win when it's a personal choice you're questioning.

Ask me on a Wednesday in November about who lost. We'll see.

What tune are you listening too to be able to twist what you said into what DR. House said? TRYING TO GET THE GOVERNMENT TO STEP IN WHEN YOU CAN GO ANY WHERE TO GET COVERAGE WOULD BE WHAT?
