Uhhh...women have testosterone too. The person who is the subject of the thread is a woman and more women than ever are purchasing weapons because they have been exposed to 8 years of scare tactics by the NRA. Due, in no part to more guns on the street, violent crime is down because we're warehousing more criminals than ever (regardless of whether or not they need it) but the fact remains that the gun industry and their NRA mouthpieces have done a masterful job selling fear.
I'm certainly not saying that women are more susceptible to errant use of weaponry. What I am saying is that the whole message of "you don't have to be a victim" puts you into a stance of action whether it is intended to or not. And you mix that aggressive posture with firearms and you can wind up with some problems. So you get folks who shoot up Home Depots, murder waitresses who ask them not to smoke in a restaurant, and people mowed down for zero reason on a rural highway in OK:
