"Can we now say with confidence that our government will not use torture again and that Americans in the future will rise up to prevent it from doing so? In light of the reaction to the Senate Intelligence Committee’s report, I fear that we can’t." Dionne Will we torture again The Salt Lake Tribune

Too many of our citizens do not understand that acting like AQ or the Gestapo or ISIS ISIL whatever makes us no different than AQ or the Gestapo or ISIS ISIL.

I don't know if we will use enhanced interrogation again what I am 99.9% sure of is if we do get hit with another 9-11 type attack the people who are trashing the CIA now for using those techniques will be the same ones demanding to know why we did not have better intel know more and be able to prevent such an attack.

once things get straightened out in the USA I'm pretty sure that good interrogation methods will be used again JAKE !! Just a couple more years to go .

Nope, American's...REAL American's don't care that Khalid got his feelers hurt when we poured water in his nose.

Dumb Fuck.

You mean if we take some airliners and dive them into somebody's skyscrapers, that makes us no different from Al Qaeda?

Sounds like you need a hobby. You seem to spend a lot of time speculating over things that:

(a) are obvious when they're true,
(b) have never happened, and
(c) never will.

Or is that your hobby?

yep....Bush's people were careless and got caught......
No they weren't careless and got caught, Pelosi was at the meetings and knew about it. it wasn't known until it could be used for political expedience

It was hubris, not lack of caution. They thought they could do anything in the name of "keeping America safe" which as far as I'm concerned, they are right. but............

Will you post again? If so then the answer is a very definite yes.

If you consider torturing the truth torture.

Only the dumbest country in the world would not be in favor of some rough interrogation and get all upset about doing it to get the info they need after 3,000 of their own citizens were killed by the enemy.

What we do isn't torture. We inconvenience some prisoners with no threat of death or permanent bodily harm. Just some major discomfort.

We have actually improved interrogation tactics. We get the info with no permanent injury to the asshole involved. You want torture there are much better ways and faster options than making someone stand up for a couple days or making them think they are drowning.

Get the fucking information you need. It works. It's worked for over 2,000 years of human history and it's why you do it. We have just found a much more friendly way of doing it. We don't cut off body parts we just make people not be able to sleep. That isn't torture.

"rough interrogation"

Funny that we didn't call it that when it was being done to Americans.
