The fishing resort town of Conconully north of Omak was evacuated Tuesday night as two fires in the ‪#‎OkanoganComplex‬ merged.

That came after a third fire in the complex near Riverside burned at least four homes and one outbuilding, and jumped the Okanogan River and Highway 97, closing the major north-south route through Okanogan County for several hours.

Canyon Creek Complex fire continues to claim homes near John Day

JOHN DAY, OR (KPTV) -

One of the most destructive wildfires in the region is near John Day where hundreds of people still can't go home Tuesday night, while dozens more don't have a home left to go to at all.

Firefighters on the scene say they are still trying to get a handle on what's proven to be one of the state's most destructive fires.

Most of that damage is down a stretch of Highway 395. Homes are burned to the ground on both sides of the road, and firefighters there working to protect the one's still standing.

The Forest Service report cites climate change for the increased wildfires.

Other government reports have concluded the same.

"Climate change has led to fire seasons that are now on average 78 days longer than in 1970," according to the Forest Service report. "The U.S. burns twice as many acres as three decades ago and Forest Service scientists believe the acreage burned may double again by midcentury."

The U.S. Global Change Research Program predicted that wildfires will increase, especially in the Southwest.

"These changes are often driven by multiple factors, including changes in temperature and drought patterns, wildfire, invasive species and pests," the report said.

This lie has been shot down so many times that only a full on retard, such as yourself, would even think of trotting out this tired old tall tale.

The facts are it is a century of forest mismanagement that is the reason for the intensity of the fires. Even the USFS admits it.

Add more dry storms with high winds, and the lightning caused fires are uncontrollable. That is a direct result of increased, or global warming.
