Climate Change

The Forest Service report cites climate change for the increased wildfires.

Other government reports have concluded the same.

"Climate change has led to fire seasons that are now on average 78 days longer than in 1970," according to the Forest Service report. "The U.S. burns twice as many acres as three decades ago and Forest Service scientists believe the acreage burned may double again by midcentury."

The U.S. Global Change Research Program predicted that wildfires will increase, especially in the Southwest.

"These changes are often driven by multiple factors, including changes in temperature and drought patterns, wildfire, invasive species and pests," the report said.

How much must we reduce CO2 to get these forest fire back to normal?
Maybe the fires have cap and trade credits? :dunno:

Obama's government is blaming forest fires on global warming. I thought the oceans ate the Warming.

The +pdo in teh Pacific is causing the western drought. This maybe strengthen by more energy absorbed by global warming. We should fund our fire fighters so we can fight back against these fires so we don't lose entire cities.

This lie has been shot down so many times that only a full on retard, such as yourself, would even think of trotting out this tired old tall tale.

The facts are it is a century of forest mismanagement that is the reason for the intensity of the fires. Even the USFS admits it.

Do try and keep up...

Riiight, coming from the same group that was predicting a Warmer Atlantic would cause a Katrina each year.

Uh huh

Then it is time to invest more into cleaning up the mismanagement of our forest. Wouldn't you agree?

No argument from me on that point. I live in a government, and environmental nutjob, created tinderbox. The Tahoe basin is a bomb just waiting to go off. I have spent years making my property as fire safe as I can but the enviro asshats around here fight us at every turn.

The Atlantic goes through cycles from the decadal Nao and is also effected by the yearly enso....A warmer ocean isn't the only factor in tropical cyclone formation...You also have upper level wind shear from 200-700 mb's that is increased to the extreme in enso years. Next you have SAL coming off of Africa capping the atmosphere,,,which ends up not allowing the tropical waves to develop

Trackwise you have the placement of the Bermuda high and were exactly the troughs set up...The past decade unlike 1995-2005 has had a lot more fish storms because of a east coast trough. The same one causing the extremely cold winters!!!!

So whether the US gets hit or not depends on a lot of factors. 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011, 2012 had a respectable number of intense cyclones, but the track kept them away from America.

I am laughing...SO you don't think building dams, paying our military and investing in infrastructure is a good investment. Damn.
