I don't particularly consider Russia our "enemy" more like our competition, kinda like China is. (Really the only country that's our "enemy" is NK and they're more like that annoying bully at school who you're not allowed to beat up because you'll get suspended.) However, I don't think it should be surprising to anyone that other nations try to influence our elections, it's in their best interests to do so and it always has been. How many times did Europe bitch about Trump during the election? That's attempting to "influence" the election too. What is the difference between say Russians putting out anti Clinton ads on YouTube and foreign globalists (how about Soros...) putting out anti Trump ads? Whats the difference between RT putting out pro Trump "news" and CNN putting out pro Hillary "news"? Why is it "bad" when Russian's voice their opinion about our canidates, but it's okay for Germans?

Seriously, lets suppose that we decide that no other nations leaders/politicians, nor their citizens (trolls or otherwise,) are allowed to voice any opinions on whom America should elect as president, where do we draw the line on this idea? Do foreigners no longer have freedom of speech after that? Do we demand they be shipped over to America to face a day in court for "influencing our elections"? Or maybe we just send them a bill for the "fine" of voicing their opinions. Do foreign news agencies have to be taken off our TV's so that American's are not exposed to their political biases? Do we shut down all social media during elections just in case there's a foreign troll out there trying to convince folks to vote one way or another?
