I don't get it, in WW-2 the allies bombed axis cities indiscriminately to charred rubble and did not blink a eye worrying about civilian deaths.

Dresden and Tokyo come to mind as well as other cities great and small during the conflict.

So why the angst about bombing a place to rubble where the populace fully supports the Hamas terrorists and supported the PLO terrorists before them?

“We must not on any account break with the Moslems, who represent a hundred million people, and the main army elements on which we must rely for the immediate fighting”

Winston Churchill, 4th March, 1942, in his letter to Franklin Roosevelt, President of the United States.

The same reason you had a genocide in the Sudan, but just north of it you had Israel building walls, so the antisemitic UN passing a gazillion resolutions against Israel and ignores the Sudan.

Make sense now?

The UN delegates need to be expelled and the UN building turned into section 8 housing.....Someone call Blackrock, they could make it happen. ;)

The Brits fucked-up everything they touched in the aftermath.

It would be a bit like there being a prison uprising at San Quentin, but instead of negotiating with the prisoners you just go in and machine gun them. The difference here is the vast majority of prisoners are just civilans who have not been convicted of any crimes, but were born in San Quentin and have never been able to leave.

More than likely the world has taken on the false vision that over-protecting civilians by handcuffing military forces will lower civilian casualties in war. The obvious flaw in the argument is that only works if both sides follow the handcuff rules. When one of the sides decides to break the rules to their own advantage, you end up with this slow bleed of civilian deaths, that probably outnumber the ones that would have occurred under WWII rules.

That is not even close to the truth.

It would require a complete suspension of disbelief to consider that the civilians in Gaza have had no agency over the past 18 years.

The only truly innocent in Gaza are those children who are too young to have attended their hate schools.

Every effort should be made to warn noncombatants and to avoid collateral damage, but no effort should be made to stop the killing of Hamas.

Hate schools, by-the-way, that are funded and endorsed by the United Nations.

Consider that.

Israel recommended the non combatants to leave but all the border crossing refuses them to leave.

That made no sense at all. How can a border crossing refuse(s)? them to leave?

The only ones holding civilians in place are the Hamas devils.

You forget that Egypt is also refusing any more refugees from crossing.

And no, it doesn't make sense. It never has for both sides.

Egypt is not run by a bunch of fools. They know what will happen should Hamas manage to slip out of Gaza again.

Not all are Hamas. Some are just trying to keep their families alive and want out of Hamas as there is zero chance of survival there. Allow them to move to the West Bank where the PLO must contend with them. If a two state solution is accepted by Israel and the PLO then that's a might tasty morsel. And with that, chances are, the PLO won't tolerate the Hamas behavior.

I have no sympathy for them. For 18 years, they were okay with Hamas being in charge.

Hell, we carpet bombed French cities during WWII, killing tens of thousands of innocent French people.

Now we're supposed to give a shit about a people that elected Hamas and supported the mass murder of unarmed Israelis?

I guess they didn't have the media coverage that we have today.

Thousands of Gazans must have known about the Oct. 7 attack, none warned the Israelis.

If anyone is going to show pity towards the Gazans, it should be the Arab states, not Israel.

But they want nothing to do with them.

When a bunch of europeans invade your land without your consent, take your home, expel you from your land, put you on a reservation and shoot any unarmed civilians who tries to leave you respond in kind and shoot their civilians too.
