Homosexuality is rejected and prohibited as a consequence of unwarranted fear and ignorance.

Otherwise, the thread premise fails as a post hoc fallacy, as there is no objective, documented evidence that homosexuality 'contributes' to empires or civilizations 'falling.'

Indeed, civilizations fail as a consequence of fearful reactionaries unwilling to accept change; where punitive, draconian measures put into place intended to stave off change serve only to further erode society, as the reactionary regime becomes increasingly harsh, oppressive, and authoritarian.

It's when reactionary totalitarianism seeks to prohibit the change, diversity, and dissent it fears a civilization begins to decay.
Actually change is the primary cause of the fall of empires. Moral decay usually preceeded the fall. Lawlessness, anything goes mentalities tend to undermine the entire society. Those that sow immorality, violence and oppression are setting the stage for their own demise.

Feel free to provide examples-

Some empires to start with:
The Spanish Empire
The Portuguese Empire
The Mayan Empire.
The British Empire.

Empires are not civilizations. So the question is silly.

Civilizations that have fallen: Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Greek, Roman. Those are civilizations. Don't confuse yourself.

It's a question worthy of discussion. Generally when civilizations fall they are preceeded by five conditions.
Loss of faith in religion
Widespread sexual license
Breakdown of the family unit
Substance abuse
Dilution of citizenship

Homosexuality has always been part of the human experience. It can't be a cause of anything. Acceptance of homosexuality as a normal condition is where it gets toxic. It's not just homosexuality that is accepted but every kind of sexual perversion as well. Accepting homosexuality has been present in all failed civilizations. But not alone sexual license is only one of the conditions. The other four are part of the circumstances.

Acceptance of homosexuality isn't a cause. It is a symptom of a culture already diseased.

When a civilization is so decayed that it can no longer survive and falls, homosexuality has never been passed along as a positive attribute. It is always rejected and prohibited.

Feel free to show that cause and effect.

Lets start with the Spanish Empire.

proceed.
You know that Ferdinand was a fairy....

The Egyptians were gay, now I know they indulged in incest, but so did Adam and Eve's kids...

Are you serious?

What was the British famous for? Colonialism.
The Mayans practiced human sacrifice.
The Spanish tried to spread Christianity and to gather riches from 3rd world regions using advanced weaponry, at least advanced in that era, and using ships. The Portuguese were doing the same which explains why South America has Spanish and Portuguese as their national language. Brazil is mostly Portuguese.

LOL.....so you are saying that the British Empire- which only existed because of colonialism- fell because the British Empire practiced colonialism?

Everything you cited was present in those empires when the empires were established. You could just as easily argue that those were the reasons those empires existed.

There are lots of civilizations that have fallen- not just your '4'

Your claim again:
Accepting homosexuality has been present in all failed civilizations.

Feel free to explain how the Mayans accepted homosexuality.

Mayan Empire (2000 BC-1540 AD)
Or Ancient Egypt (3150 BC - 30 BC)

Or the Mongol civilization.

Or just dance around some more and avoid admitting you were wrong.

No empire or civilization has fallen as a result of homosexuality. There is absolutely no evidence that any civilization or empire fell as a result of homosexuality, and the OP has offered nothing but baseless assertions.

Colonialism caused resentment, primarily because of the way it was implemented.
And all of them existed and fell for the same reason. Oppression.

The Greek civilization and the Roman civilizations are still going strong. So....who exactly is confused here?
The one confused is the one who thinks that countries are the same as civilizations.

When homosexuality peaked in ancient Greece and Rome, it was during their declines. The Torah tells the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, where the death of a civilization occurred --- due to homosexuality.

So the question is, does homosexuality destroy civilizations or is it simply correlated with their decline?

Notice that greatly impoverished states like the Wiemar Republican and post-USSR Russia started to regain their strength rapidly when dictators like Hitler and Putin put an end to homosexuality, and empires like the current United States and the UK are in decline as they promote homosexuality.

Although they are correlated, I dont think homosexuality is the actual cause of the fall of an empire. It's the general lack of moral code, cultural fortitude and Rule of Law (that squares with moral law -- Martin Luther King) that allows homosexuals and other perverts to publicly expose themselves.

Aren't empires supposed to die? Isn't that the sort of the result of pissing everybody off?

Given such a small section of any population is homosexual, it's very unlikely they could destroy a whole civilisation.
I don't understand homosexuality, but I see no reason to hate them, or make up stupid crap because of my failed self education.

There is a huge difference between sexual behavior in ancient Greece and Rome compared to anything we see today. Most homosexual acts committed in those societies were committed by heterosexual men who were deviants in their behavior. Sex was permitted among males, and the male who was the penetrater would not lose his masculinity. It was about power over others, not about a loving or consensual act among gay men. The same is true of Sodom and Gomorrah. This is the mistake people make when referencing homosexual acts of Biblical times to those of today. Of course there were also gays in those times, but the sexual deviance discussed in religious texts refers to the type of deviant sex acts that took place among non-gay men.
