Why is the media emphasizing….”white shooter”? Do they usually emphasize skin color?

They ought to. I hate having to look it up, but often do.

Even Fox News won’t dare just refer to him as ‘the shooter’…..he’s a “white shooter” everywhere.
Because of the shooter's own emphasis on the point. His internet writings are filled with racist replacement theory nonsense. It looks very much as if he killed those people because they were black.

If the shooter was black you definitely wouldn’t know without doing your own research. Weird huh?
Not anymore, except for Afrocentric names in the story. It isn't the most important thing of an incident, but it is quite often something in relation to an incident. Not mentioning it, does nothing but reflect bad reporting and brings attention of people like you.

Then how do you explain that he shot some whites, too??

We are not children.

We know that the media are run by very woke elements.

If people of ethnicity X are insulted or killed by Caucasian perps, then the ethnicity of the perps is always reported. It is done to emphasize how badly people of ethnicity X are still treated in this country.

But if the perps are of ethnicity X, the media suddenly become color blind. The media explain that they want to avoid stereotyping ethnicity X.

That is just how the cookie crumbles in 2022 America.

BINGO!!
And dat's the TRUTH!!!

Social media has turned a spotlight on cases of racial discrimination. As the list of black citizens killed by nonblack officers grows, tensions between black communities and police are running high. "It's a nuanced problem but people continue to take a polarized view," says Jack Glaser, PhD, a social psychologist at the University of California, Berkeley. "It's not productive to demonize police."
