Judges & Trump Criminal Trials: The Outright Hypocrisy of Rightwing Media

One quote caught my attention:

"Right-wing commentators, most prominently on Fox News, have condemned the judge nearly daily in their coverage of the trial. They have painted Justice Merchan’s rulings as biased, decried small donations he made to Democrats in 2020 and suggested that his connection to his daughter, a Democratic political consultant, made him unfit to oversee the case."

My mind immediately went to the judge in the Trump criminal trial in Florida - U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon. A judge appointed by Trump himself. Do commentators on FOX and other rightwing media raise the connections between Trump and the judge? Former President Donald Trump nominated and appointed Cannon to the federal bench after confirmation by the U.S. Senate in November 2020. --

Where's the faux outrage there?

Then again FOX News itself has already been proven to lie to and mock it's own loyal viewership. They have paid out around a billion dollars -- so far on these facts.

Then why do you watch Fox all the time, prikcrusted?

I long ago went on record stating a guilty conviction is not demanded. It's enough that the disgusting degenerate has been held to not be above the law. He's been prosecuted.

I remember Mafia bosses receiving not guilty verdicts. Didn't make them reputable citizens.
The fools here cannot grasp realities. The Outright Hypocrisy of Rightwing Media and themselves has to produce severe cognitive dissonances. This may help explain...

Have you ever heard on NBC, CNN, ABC, CBS?
None has been credibly accused of having an admitted agenda. While at times a bias may exist, Only FOX was started with an admitted agenda -- to spin rightwing

Oh and none has ever been forced to pay a billion dollars

and none has been exposed as laughing at it's viewership

A 2017 study by the Pew Research Centre looked at media coverage during the first 60 days of Donald Trump's presidency and found that 62% of the media coverage was negative, compared to just 20% for Barack Obama over the same period, which the editorial board of Investor's Business Daily considered to be evidence of bias.[104][105][improper synthesis?]

A 2018 study by Axios/SurveyMonkey found that 92% of Republicans believed that the media intentionally reported false news.[37]

A 2020 study in Science Advances found that, although a majority of journalists identify as liberals/Democrats, there is no evidence of a liberal media bias in which stories journalists chose to cover in their reporting.[106]

A 2021 research paper published by the Tow Center for Digital Journalism found that American conservatives believe "that the American press blames, shames and ostracizes conservatives," citing media coverage of COVID-19 and Donald Trump, but that they were "not primarily upset that the media get facts wrong, nor even that journalists push a liberal policy agenda".[107]

Tech companies and social media sites have been accused of censorship by some conservative groups, although there is little or no evidence to support these claims.[108][109] The editorial board of the conservative Washington Examiner argued that Facebook and Twitter temporarily limiting the spread of the Hunter Biden laptop controversy on their platforms while fact-checkers reviewed it, even though parts of the story eventually turned out to be accurate, "proves Big Tech's bias".[110][111] Conservatives who have found their content affected by platforms' attempts to reduce the reach of false or unreliable content have characterized this as the shadow banning of conservative social media accounts; the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard investigated these claims and found no evidence that conservatives were being shadow-banned.[112]

What is your issue with this?

Was Obama attacking the media on a constant basis?

We do know every president has had issues with the media, but...

Plus as any other president ever tried as much, ever tried pushing every boundary and ...

never mind. You need a really aggressive deprogramming
