Nnnnnnnnnnnnope. Virtually all politicians were in a lower office before whatever they're running for now. Rump came in via ---- celebrity.

He's not the only one --- Reagan and Schwarzenegger come to mind. Al Franken too. But Rump is the only one in that bunch to which "spouting off public nonsense" and "unstable behavior" can be applied.

Can you imagine Ronald Reagan in a debate with Walter Mondale, talking about the size of his dick?

"We" do not.

Well when you really think about it, a free pass is going to be given because at the end of the day, everyone is going to have a fan base. The Dixie Chicks took a hit all them years ago, yeah, but when the dust finally settled, how much did they actually lose when certain people decided to stand with them still?
