Why do conservatives think liberals are pissed that there is a black man running as a republican?

It's another one of those fables that republicans believe because it just sounds like something that makes sense to them. The same can be said for a number of stupid things republicans buy into like all democrats being socialists. First, they come up with an idea in their heads that sounds like it could be true and validates their pre-conceived notions about liberals, and then they accept it as fact.

Okay so the idea is that it's blasphemous in the liberal mind that any republican would be black. Sure it's unusual, but why would liberals give a shit? I don't. I don't understand why anyone would be republican let alone just a black guy.

Perhaps the thinking is that black voters would turn to Carson if he got the nomination. Okay, that very well could happen to some small degree, but I can't imagine that would be nearly enough to secure a republican win. Only republicans and perhaps a minority of black people would vote for him. He is as big of a threat as Trump in the general match up.

So what gives?

Because progressives seem to think that a black man can't be a conservative is my interpretation of the repub mind. They do seem to have a point though. Whenever a black person comes out as a con the progressives go ape shit with their attacks calling them Uncle Toms etc. So, in my opinion it's a legit opinion.

Um okay but who called him an Uncle Tom? When has any liberal on this board expressed outrage over a black guy being republican? This is crap that you people just like to believe.

You almost gotta laugh that radical lefties always refer to "a Black man running as..."? It's the typical creepy, disrespectful and old timy racist way that democrats unconsciously view Blacks. Why can't they acknowledge that Dr. Carson is just a republican candidate?

See this is what I am talking about. The only one bringing up his race is Rightwingers like you. You're just entertaining crap that sounds like it could be true but really isn't.

There are many conservative black people. No biggie. Some of my best friends are Conservatives...and some of them are even black Conservatives. No biggie.

Yeah in reference to a false perception. Not me or any liberal is upset that he is black. Hell if anything a lot of Teabaggers are upset he's black.

Oh? I see you're pulling the "I have a black friend" line. Not very believable based on the contempt you show here. I find that those who can actually see the other sides points can indeed have friends from the other side, as i do, however when one is more on the extreme flanks of the issues I find the ability to share even the same room becomes difficult for them.

Then why does pretty much EVERY progressive on this forum have a thread bashing Carson?:eusa_whistle:

A black guy on the democrat side must not be questioned or it's racism. The same black guy on the conservative side must be destroyed.
youpeople set these perameters .

Why does every conservative have a thread about Hillary? Is that simply because she is a woman? Probably not.

Liberals hate when any minority leaves the liberal plantation.
