Padisha, I think MtnBiker said it well, but it is worth repeating: the US is not going to vote for a President based on the wishes of socialist Europe. Yes, our Presidential elections are important for the world. I think Bush has shown that by his unflinching stance on terrorism: he has promised to hunt terrorists until they are powerless to harm America and her allies - which still includes France. And if that means that the US would be more hated around the world, so be it. I would rather be unpopular with the European socialist elite and safe from terrorism.

Kerry is more clever. i prefer Kerry. For France, Kerry would be best, because he wants that the relation between the 2 states are best.

Yes, we helped Iraq while they were fighting Iran, for obvious reasons. It is unfortunate that we are insufficiently cynical to take advantage of mideast tribalism. Because we could have kept these two countries murdering each other for decades.

But once again your reasoning is faulty and you ignore the facts of the situation because you well know they do not support your case. You choose not to discuss the fact that France was not at war with either Iraq or Iran during the time the US supplied weapons to Iraq.

But the hypocrites in your government were secretly selling Saddam the means to kill our troops while at the same time claiming to be our allies.

Thanks a lot. I would rather have a dozen honest enemies than even one "friend" as deceitful and perfidious as the french government. At least an honest enemy will not shoot us in the back while pretending to be our ally.

Unfortunately it really is someone to vote against. I do not think Bush is the best President ever, not by a longshot. However he is simply the lesser of two evils in my opinion. Some foresight beats out no foresight whatsoever every time in my book. I could not in good conscience vote for the candidate I actually want (Badnarik) and see Kerry get elected. This election is not the year to make a point with an angry third Party vote.
