But even if I did take the Bible seriously, even the text of the bible has contradictions.

Was Jesus from Nazareth or Judea?

Was he born in 4 BCE (as Matthew says, before the death of Herod the Great) or in 6 AD, during the governorship of Quirinius, as Luke says? What year was he crucified in?

The Gospels also can't agree on the names of his Disciples, or a lot of other key facts. For instance, all the Gospels talk about his "Miracles", but only one miracle appears in all four gospels.

To say most poor people chose to be poor is absurd, So long as the minimum wage dictates that some of the hardest jobs in America are poverty wages.
