So, tell me for how long should Ukraine have been able to keep these territories under its control to become a 'legal' owner of them? For how long should Israel do the same to become a 'legal' owner of the Arab territories? 50, 70, 100 years ?

The reality is Russia has gone in lightly and done its best to avoid large civilian casualties. They could have easily turned all Ukraine into a wasteland like Israel is doing in Gaza, which you support.

Russia doesn't have the capability to turn all of Ukraine into a wasteland now that Ukraine has advanced air defenses from the west. However that doesn't mean they don't try. Look at all the various cities in Ukraine they've completely flattened with artillery and missiles. I guess you don't get to see all those destroyed cities watching Russian state tv.
