Obama was adopted by his stepfather, which changed his name to Barry Soetoro. So Barry had no choice!
This is the name reflected on his Indonesian school records, as well as; his high school yearbook.
By Obama's own admission he changed his name back in 1982. When he was 21 so he CHANGED on his own... unlike the above.. so

He still has the distinction of on his own CHANGED his name unlike Ford/Clinton who's names were changed by their mothers!
