Does the recent NYT opinion letter writer and possible contributor to Bob Woodward's latest book deserve to be called" 2018-Deep Throat"???

I imagine a large number of you weren't even born when the below occurred.

But the major point of the below excerpt is that the former Federal Bureau of Investigation Associate Director Mark Felt was "Deep Throat".

After Hoover's death, Felt became angry and disgusted when L. Patrick Gray, a career naval officer and lawyer from the Civil Division of the Department of Justice, with no prior law enforcement experience, was appointed Director of the FBI over Felt, a 30-year veteran of the Bureau. Felt was particularly unhappy with Gray's management style at the FBI, which was markedly different from Hoover's. Felt selected Woodward because he knew Woodward and Bernstein were assigned to investigate the burglary. Instead of seeking out prosecutors at the Justice Department, or the House Judiciary Committee charged with investigating presidential wrongdoing, he methodically leaked information to Woodward to guide their investigation while keeping his own identity and involvement safely concealed.

So is the "anonymous" NYT opinion letter writer a disgruntled FBI person? Say Rosenstein, Wray, etc.?
Trying to protect their roles in the "deep state" efforts of the "anonymous source"?

Disgruntled FBI people don't have the ability to take papers off Traitor Trump's desk.

This is just the left trying to recreate Watergate.

The left played a far lesser role than your dotard in this new watergate

Woodward himself is my guess.

Although I would not be surprised to see that it was a Trump assistant working at the President's behest, giving Woodward false information to make that Pathetic Loser look a fool. Sort of like when Rove fed See BS the phony Killian letters using Burkett as a patsy in 2004.

Trump knows the left isn't actually verifying their "facts", and that fact is one that can be exploited in our President's battle against the Deep State.

Woodward says he does not know who the NYT letter writer is, and that if the letter writer had come to him, he would have required specific facts and dates.

You would think any sane anonymous op ed person working close to the president or anyone who has paid attention, would know that the op ed would put Trump in an outrage and on a hunt to find the witch!!!

I see no purpose to the op ed, other than putting this wanna be white night and all his angelic friends  that he's been conspiring with, in danger of being caught and fired.

The only person that benefits from this op ed, is Trump.... he gets people off the Woodward book, it helps Trump with his ''deep state'' conspiracy, he gets to find and fire a whole bunch of people with a good excuse.... lots of benefits....

I think the Secret Service should investigate the matter on behalf of President Trump's safety. They should begin with polygraph tests of anyone who had access to the Oval Office.

Considering all the Lewinsky's the cult is giving Donald, I'd say they're all the modern Deep Throat.

Likely so. A butthurt FBI cry baby who is trying to muddy waters because they are about to be indicted.
