Some things are so amazing, you just couldn't make 'em up.

1. "Young Obama Said the American Dream Is to Be Donald Trump

2. In 1991, Barack Obama was 29 years old and about to graduate from Harvard Law School. That year, he penned a paper ...where he summed up the average American mindset in one rather brutal and prescient sentence: "I may not be Donald Trump now, but just you wait; if I don't make it, my children will."

3. .That excerpt of that previously unpublished law school paper, and much more, is inside Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama,...interesting tidbits, including a young Obama's thoughtful analysis of the American psyche's Trumpian desires.

4. When Obama and Fisher analyzed the pitfalls of the American dream, both among the white majority and African Americans, they wrote:

[Americans have] a continuing normative commitment to the ideals of individual freedom and mobility, values that extend far beyond the issue of race in the American mind. The depth of this commitment may be summarily dismissed as the unfounded optimism of the average American—I may not be Donald Trump now, but just you wait; if I don't make it, my children will.

5. The paper argued that black Americans should "shift away from rights rhetoric and towards the language of opportunity."

6. Ironically, when Trump, who Obama identified as the object of so much American longing, actually became president, his inauguration speech made it clear that his presidency would have not have much to do with dreaming and hope."

Ah, so a single reference to a well-known name in 1991 becomes a seed for yet another hackneyed thread of 2018. How quaint.

1991 --- that would be when "John Barron" had just launched some casinos in Atlantic City that were about to take it down with them, along with their investors. That would be when "John Miller" was in the last stages of crashing his airline into the ground and sliding down the escape chute by defaulting on his loans. That would also be right about the time "David Dennison" crushed the NFL in a lawsuit, winning from it the sum total of:

Sorry, I meant "crushed the USFL" --- that he was part of. Took them down like an Atlantic City casino. The NFL that he sued? MMmmm not so much. And this would be just after he published a whining ad in the New York Times calling for the executions of the Central Park Five, and doubled down a dozen years later even after they were proved innocent by DNA.

Of course this would be way before he got into founding fraud universities and trying to sell steaks at The Sharper Image and hawking personal vitamins where you send in your pee, and long before he started inventing stories of "thousands and thousands dancing on rooftops", "three million illegals" and "very fine people".

No, I don't think anybody wanted to be that asshole.

Oooo.......look who I irritated!!!

Excellent.....couldn't happen to a nicer.....

Here....let me poke you in the eye again:

1.“Team Obama: Sorry, America, the ‘new normal’ may be here to stay

The good times may be over for good. In a speech to the Economic Club of New York yesterday, US Treasury Secretary Jack Lew said the US GDP growth rate, adjusted for inflation, is now projected to run a little above 2% a year.”
Team Obama: Sorry, America, the 'new normal' may be here to stay - AEI

Then, along came Trump….

2.“U.S. households are back to their free spending ways, with the strength of May’s retail sales figures implying that second-quarter real consumption growth (and GDP growth for that matter) will now be more than 4% annualized.

With the benefit of the tax cuts, strong employment growth and a slow acceleration in hourly wage growth, consumption growth should remain strong going into the second half of this year,” Paul Ashworth, chief U.S. economist at Capital Economics told MarketWatch.” US economy on track for 4% GDP growth?

3. Each point, by the way, means approximately $3 trillion and 10 million jobs,” @POTUS says https://cbsn.ws/2JZ4YIt

Hussein still can't hold a candle to a real President.

It would appear reading lessons are as usual in order. Number one, "he" didn't pen a paper; "THEY" --- O'bama and Robert Fisher the co-author --- who you accidentally acknowledged in your Bullshit Point Number Four ---- penned a paper. And number two, whoever wrote the passage is not speaking in the first person anyway.

Roll tape.

The hypothetical speaker is neither O'bama nor Fisher --- it is "the average American". And that quote came directly from your own link. So what we have here is your usual selective editing, scouring out those nasty stains of "context" that annoyingly change the meaning of the idea from what you wish one of them had said, to what the two of them actually did say.

"I wanna be like you"

This is both an IQ test, and an honesty test....so be careful:

They are basically the same except for the Trump giveaway to the rich and the stupid tariff War. The country is desperate for a Democrat with real control and not in a corrupt GOP economic meltdown....

You are both stupid and dishonest....you'd try to steal a free sample.

I'm gonna go way out on a limb and guess you're more a liar than a fool.

“…during the Obama administration, the Gross Domestic Product never exceeded 3 percent annually. Obama said the days of strong economic growth were behind us, that many manufacturing jobs were lost and not returning and that candidate Trump didn't have a "magic wand" to fix the economy. But in the second quarter of this year, economic growth exceeded 4 percent and manufacturing jobs are making a comeback.

By the time Obama left office, the unemployment rate had declined from a high approaching 8 percent at the start of his administration to just under 5 percent, but was beginning to tick back upward, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics."
