Not really

The difference between most colleges and Trump University is accreditation by the State. If you go to learn Asian studies, there is a standard minimum you must learn else the school can lose its accreditation. Also, it protects the school from lawsuits due to the curriculum accepted by professionals in the field. Well, in theory.

However, Trump university does not seem interested in providing any useful information on real estate. They could beat the charges if they did perform basic education in the subject of real estate, but the students are claiming it was just a big infomercial . They paid thousands but recieved no education on real estate.

Considering the number of people Trump knew in real estate he could have easily filled ten schools with knowledgeable professionals with years of experience in real estate. He could have met the requirement with ease.

1. I do not believe it remotely resembles a criminal investigation. I believe the FBI is responding to all the publicity and investigating whether any critical information was compromised
