The corwin amendment was passed by the house on feb 28th , 1861. On March 4th, the Senate passed it.

Those acts were bad too, but your post is evidence of your problem.

And what may that problem be? Your post along with the linked video fails to provide anything that accomplished elimination, nor even deterrence, to the institution of slavery.

While slavery was the cause of the war as seen in rebelling states' secession documents, the Emancipation Proclamation turned the war from an act of US imperial aggression to a noble cause. This deterred European countries from supporting the Confederacy.

Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation as a wartime presidential power to enable that goal.

But, that's not how it went. During slavery, there was constant fighting and various methods used by blacks to revolt. In Africa there was a fight between blacks and whites that lasted 400 years. Quite a number of whites died trying to get slaves. You won't learn this at stormfront.

In America slaves would organize work stoppages and slowdowns as well as direct confrontation. Nat Turner was not the only black person to euthanize a slaveowner.

Whites? Probably more than the number 620,000 often used. The civilians are never factored, so probably another 50,000 to 75,000. Black troops lost 35,000 lives. Who knows how many slaves went down to death?
