Ugh. I'll once again point out that whatever I say is going to be denied. So I will only put so much effort into this. This means I will not bother to point out examples of...
... the last 15,000 or so times a person was called a "racist" because they dared to criticize a black liberal. That would take us back about two days.
... the list of words we are told we should not use because we are told that they may "offend" someone.
... the list of words that the American Left has changed to a new word because they didn't like the connotation of the old word, even though everyone knows that the new word means the old word.
... the public figures who have been targeted because they dared to say a word or phrase that the American Left has deemed unacceptable and potentially offensive.
And more than anything else:
Political Correctness is strategic hypersensitivity designed and deployed specifically to put your target on the defensive and thereby control the conversation. And that is precisely what the American Left is doing in ALL of the above cases. They know that, if they put their target on the defensive, gives them a clear advantage in the debate.
Now, I realize you're going to deny all this, LoneLaugher, because you have taken this conversation this far. I really try to place and maintain a high priority on intellectual honesty, and I don't burn a great deal of time with those who are clearly being intellectually dishonest. If you're really going to deny what I'm saying, it's my humble opinion that you're being intellectually dishonest, and I'm not going to continue to waste my time.
I can deny that lemons are yellow, too. They're purple, and no matter what you say, I'll say they're purple.
