For the first time in US history, a President began two wars and then handed a huge tax cut to the wealthiest Americans. The results was a near depression economy that we will struggle to overcome for years. Never elect a recovering alcoholic as President.
Of course, by your 'war' definition, FDR started many more wars.

A war in France,
A war in North Africa
A war in Italy
A war in the Netherlands
Many wars in many different pacific islands.
Multiple wars in the Phillippines.
...

So, are these all wars or just battles on different fronts?

Taxing the wealthiest Americans is not going to solve our spending problem.

Neither is throwing money at problems...

I agree with both, if they stand by themselves. But cutting Entitlements and Discretionary items is not going to do it, alone, either. It is going to take a combination of all of the above. When the Republicans understand and agree with this, then the budget mess can be addressed. But if they keep denying that a combination of cuts and tax increases are needed, the GOP will get their head handed to them on a platter, again.

To think, Ryan wants to take Granny's medicare away, so that he can give tax cuts to the rich. If he had only left the tax cuts out, maybe some could have swallowed it. But the GOP's insistence to favor the wealthy is going to kill them.

To think Obama’s budget spend so much that it actually bankrupts the country taking from everyone’s future Medicare, Medicaid and well all other social programs so that there is nothing left…

I don’t support Ryan but to support Obama over Ryan is pretty much pathetic when you try and make it out as if Ryan wants to rob grandma when you want to rob anyone under 40 or so out of any social programs after they pay into them for a lifetime. Even Obamacare’s “Savings” are a proven (that means not up for debate) lie…

historians agree bush was the worst in modern times

Buchanon
Carter/Obama/Wilson/FDR/LBJ (I'm having a hard time differentiating them)
Nixon

I see absolutely no justification for putting Buchannon on the list. On the other hand, Lincoln should be right at the top of the list. He is by far the worst president we ever had.

Neither of those two things has any connection to he recession. Libturds are always saying that defense spending during WW II got us out of the depression. They can't seem to make up their minds as to whether defense spending is good for the economy or bad for the economy. The truth is that they believe its good when Democrats do it and bad when Republicans do it.

It will solve our revenue problem

It most certainly is enough to balance the budget.

I'll vote for taxes increases when hell freezes over. The idea that government doesn't have enough revenue is too absurd for words. Anyone who has noted Democrat behavior in the past understands that after the tax increases are passed, no spending will be cut. That's just another sucker play.

The promises Democrats made to Granny are going to be cut regardless. There isn't enough money in the universe to deliver on those. Furthermore, Democrats have already cut Granny's Medicare benefits. The cut $500 billion out of the Medicare budget. Nothing could be more hypocritical or less credible than Democrat scaremongering about Medicare.

"Democrat" is a euphemism for pathological liar and sleaze bag.

The aggregate presidential rankings from surveys are listed below. The number in parentheses is the number of surveys.

Wilson 6th (17)
Obama 15th (1)
Cartier 27th (15)
Nixion 32nd (15)
Bush 34th (6)

It’s too soon to rate either Obama or Bush. I would rank Wilson 6th. Cartier is bit high.

The worst was a tie between Harding and Buchansn

It's fascinating that the opinions expressed on this posting board are so utterly different from that of the American populace as a whole.

Though it's not surprising, at all.

It's also interesting to note that the 1982 survey of Liberals and Conservatives listed on that site had FDR listed as 3rd most popular among conservatives.

Wow, how conservatives have changed in the past 30 years.

Especially since the two most progressive presidents in US History, Abraham Lincoln and FDR were ranked in the top 3 on both sides of the spectrum.

Revisionist history seems to have had an effect over the last 3 decades.

historians agree bush was the worst in modern times

Of course you mean historians that you agree with, lol... Once again, where is Obama different than Bush on any *important* issues RW? Key word, "important."

Nobel peace prize and killed OBL, gotcha, sooooo nothing… Oh yeah, a weapons treaty leaving enough nukes to destroy the planet only 100x rather than 133x over and the repeal of DADT! The rest most people couldn’t even tell you about because it had ZERO affect on peoples daily/weekly/monthly/yearly/whole life! And that';s why people voted for Obama, to win the NPP and expand or continue all of Bush's policies!

Funny how it works huh? FDR = great yet he never accomplished a single goal in 12 years... Just like Obama... Maybe Obama can = one of the top 5 too, all he has to do is fail at every policy he does, so far so good then huh!?

You know what gets me, is "historians are just people with a bias opinion... They literally have to base nothing off of fact as "their fav" is just that, the guy they agree with the most.

There is no revenue problem.[/QUOTE]

Nope. There is a spending problem. First thing you do is stop the spending and then revise the tax code. Obama needs to stop the lobbying like he promised, a promise that has fallen by the side like so many other empty promises from this lying hack.

Now, that is some SERIOUS revisionist history. Way to illustrate my point though! :clap2:

Obama, because his wife said he was a Kenyan and that she wasn't proud to be an American until he got elected.

You're seriously basing your opinion of a sitting President of the United States on two out-of-context comments from the first lady?

Wow, just wow.
