Actually, it kind of sucks to be Sarah Kate Ellis and the Oscars. Viewership has already dropped for all of the awards. We aren't watching the films they have decided we should watch. We don't consider what they have to say as important. Hart had already dealt with the issue. it was nonsense to rehash it. He turned around and played to two sold out audiences. So much for the suck.

The Academy recognizes excellence in film making; not what is commercially successful.

That is what it is supposed to do. It would be fantastic if that is what it actually did. That's why I, and many others, stopped watching it.
