What you'll find though is that the majority won't be happy if the Republicans just sit on their hands and lock down the Senate. Americans are looking for solutions, and the fact that the Democrats couldn't/wouldn't do anything substansive with a 60 seat majority is the reason they got handed a major defeat by independent voters, the same guys you need to win elections.

It's going to be interesting.

What a crock of shit this statement is! If this is a true statement, prove to me that 45 thousand people have already died because they didn't have health insurance. It's against the law in the US to be turned away from Emergency Rooms if you don't have a way to pay. "This 45 thousand will die" cry from the liberals is getting a bit old and quite frankly, boring. There is a hell of a lot more than 45 thousand that does not have health insurance right now and I don't see them filming them dying on the streets. Get real. Come up with another way to whine.

Indeed...but I also think that if the Republicans lock down the Senate on wasteful spending and pork like this current corrupt healthcare bill the public will side with them. If, on the other hand, they lock it down just for the sake of locking it down over some ideological BS...then you're right...there will be a backlash once again.
