Wait, wait, wait.
That’s what government run healthcare is.
It’s like calling the DMV except you’re sick and really need to see a doctor.

Its a feature not a bug.

We are told that in the NHS in England, more than 7 million people are waiting for a hospital specialist or surgeon or whatever. Over 3 million patients wait over 18 weeks and 370 thousand over a year for treatment.

By any measure, these figures show we have an emergency on our hands - yes, a real one, not model-driven or PCR derived. Presumably, these are folk who have long-standing problems and need help. We do not know the makeup of their pathologies, but all are at risk in the forthcoming NHS winter crisis - we have become modellers and see the future.

Crutches and walkers are cheaper than hip replacement or knee replacement surgery. So it’s crutches for the lot of you old folk! Bah. Humbug!

Next … you’ll all be sold for science experiments and your still-functional organs SOLD down at the Amazon organ MART.

How does that compare to the US system?

Keep in mind the 7 million waiting is only for elective care...

So what is the solution?

as a health insurance professional since reagan was prez, obamacare was one of the most cruelest thing to ever happen..today an average person pays 800 mo for an 8k deductible...you pay near 11k beore first dollar coverage......what a deal....what that big floppy penised moochelles cuckhold did to health care is a crime......that should be punishd by execution for the horror it caused................first, how many health insurance applications have you written over 40 yrs?

So what is the solution?
sigh....medicare should have been reduced to 55 with an extra premium paid. or continued by an employer coverage until 65.......55 and older were the real problem of uninsureds to begin with

all children from birth to 26 are covered under the plan....0-26 are neglible cost overall, no family should go bankrupt....they are rarely ill

individuals 27-54 be employer covered or optional paid reasonable coverage subsidizsed by the public for gaps

i know my ignorance since i've been foing this since ronnies first term

My DR is booked out a month.......used to be able to call anytime and they would work you in.

So sorry about all those poor people getting actual medical care. What we need is to spend some money on educating more doctors instead of filling the place up with Asian ones... Like every other problem, tax the rich again and invest in America and Americans again would be a great improvement....

At any rate, if there was an emergency, they would see you or you could go to the emergency room.

Once again, how does that compare to the US.
70% see the specialist within 4 weeks in the US.
As compared to the 40% waiting over 18 weeks in England.

The U.S already sends too much on healthcare. An intelligent system would provide as much or better for less.
It isn't a matter of "socialism", and calling it that is mere propaganda.
