What is the nature of anti-polygamy laws?

They are allegedly held captive, based upon the testimony of one disgruntled ex-member, who bailed YEARS ago.

I don't have a problem with alternative lifestyles. I don't have a problem with an investigation into the situation. I DO have a problem with strong-arming women and children who have never been charged with ANYTHING on a flimsy excuse, and separating children from their families, based on nothing but righteous indignation that girls are getting knocked up at a young age.

When I get indignant over girls getting knocked up, you can hear the jeering from this site a mile away.

The double standard floors me, though I've always known it was there. And the blatancy of the hypocrisy floors me even more.

simple question with a simple answer of either YES or NO please:

ARE minor girls being knocked up by OLDER Elder men of their Church?

where are these men alley since not in the home of the children? how did the 14-17 year olds get pregnant? so, they were sent over to the old geezer's abode for a night of fun filled child/adult sex then sent back to the mom and another home? WONDERFUL!!!

That doesn't work, because she's the perp. If the perp isn't in the house, the children shouldn't be removed, unless there are other issues (drug use/sale of drugs, a reason to believe the remaining parent is abusive as well.)

If we're thinking about the same mother, her children were allowed to remain with their father. SHE was removed from the home.

i personally do not like the way the texas cops came upon their search warrant....no one can really ''like it'' that believes in a smaller, less obtrusive governemt regarding our civil liberties.

HOWEVER, child abuse did exist, once they were there and there is no way in hell, did they not have the justification of bringing in child services after coming across 60% of 14-17 year olds were mothers already, and NOT LEGALLY married...

a parent of a child can not give permission for their under age daughters to have sex with older men, period!!!! they can if older than 16 give permission for their child to legally marry another, if the other is not too old by law, but these men were already legally married, so they were not, and COULD NOT be giving permission to their daughters to marry.



shoot, i am close friends with a guy whose child was almost taken from them because his child had a persistant diaper rash.....that was reported by their daycare for the child....it took months of investigation by child services and if they had not had documentation that they had seen their pediatrician over and over again regarding this rash trying to get it cured, they would have lost their kid!!!!
