It's great for downtown businesses and hookers.

There are absolutely no advantages when Government meets so much. That's the biggest problem with our Congress at this point. They're simply in session way too often. The more they're in session, the more damage they do to our nation. It's gotten so bad that most citizens now can't wait for our Congress to go away on Recess. Recess = Peace & Tranquility.

An orderly life, through law and order, for the bovine out on the plains of Texas.

Yea we already have more than enough Laws in my opinion. How many more do we really need? Politicians meeting too often is always a bad thing for the People. Just look at the dismal state of our Congress. The People are now actually begging them to go away on Recess. When they're not in session, people do seem to feel a sense of calm & peace. So in the end, politicians meeting less is the answer.

Think about how much money we could save if we had the ability to lay them off like so many other people are getting laid off.

Yea i always laugh at those who whine about "Do-Nothing Congresses." Give me a "Do-Nothing Congress" over an Over-reaching Congress anytime. Sometimes doing nothing really is the correct course. Too bad the Socialists in both parties can't grasp this common sense concept.

The Texas State Legislature meets for 90 Days a year every two months. This is compared to a State like California where their State Legislators meet year round. Which State is in better shape? Politicians meeting too often is always a bad thing. Texas has it right. All States should follow their lead on this. Our Congress is in session far too often. The more they meet, the more damage they do to our nation. It's no coincidence that most Americans are now screaming for them to hurry up and go away on Recess. Congressional Recess = Peace & Tranquility for most Americans at this point. Just follow the Texas model and you can't wrong.
